Teaching Excellence Award

ELIGIBILITY:

Teaching faculty at CACE member institutions are eligible to apply. Any individual may also nominate an eligible faculty member or colleague. The applicant must be currently teaching at a member institution and at the time of the award decision. The applicant must also show intent to attend the CACE Annual Conference in June. Previous recipients of the award will not be eligible to re-apply for a period of two years.

NOMINATIONS:

Once a nomination is received, the home office of CACE will contact the nominee and inform him/her of the nomination. The nominee will then be required to complete the online application and submit the additional required materials (i.e. responses to the three criteria, recommendation letter from immediate supervisor, curriculum vitae, high-resolution photo and statement of teaching philosophy) in order to complete the application process. The deadline to nominate a colleague by submitting a nomination form is 30 September 2021..

Only electronic submissions will be received. Completed applications and all supporting files must be submitted online no later than 30 November 2021. The completed application will be acknowledged by a reply stating that the application materials were received successfully. Application materials for each individual will be forwarded to the respective region for evaluation. Each applicant will be considered in the country competition to determine the associate degree school and baccalaureate/graduate degree school award recipients for that country. The recipients of Teaching Excellence Award, representing all countries, then become nominees for the International Teaching Excellence Award. Application materials for the regional award recipients are automatically forwarded to the Teaching Excellence Award Committee. No other action is needed on the part of the regional award recipient.

Applicants who do not receive the award may choose to make slight revisions in their application materials and re-submit in subsequent years.

PLEASE NOTE:For all candidates whose primary language is not English, for best consideration by the International Teaching Excellence Award Committee, we recommend that all materials be translated into English prior to the time of submission.
