Professional Standard & Ethics.
Our mandate, governance and commitment to continuing professional development.
Mandate, Accreditation
and Governance
The Association’s Articles of Incorporation set out its purposes and activities. They expressly provide for the Association to develop assessment tools and guidelines to audit, accredit and certify educational courses developed by institutional members, with the aim of supporting high standards in continuing education.
The Articles also identify the issuing of professional certificates and the administration of corporate and individual participation tiers as part of the Association’s work.
The General By-Laws (By-Law No. 1) provide the governance framework through which the Board manages these activities within the purposes stated in the Articles. Organisational participation is structured through the Institutional and Accredited tiers.
The accreditation activities apply to eligible courses and programmes created or offered by institutional members.
Professional Recognition
For individuals, the Association administers four professional recognition grades. These grades recognise different stages of ongoing professional development.
